This is a continuous culture education project that has been implemented by the library since 2013. During the implementation of the project, the Justinas Marcinkevicius Prienai Library organises dramas, fine art classes, consultations of social pedagogists, group therapy sessions. The participants take part in trips during which they get to know prominent Lithuanian writers, their works that they read and create puppet plays based on them. During the project implementation period, the participants have visited M. Valancius’ homeland, travelled to Lithuania Minor within the territory of the Republic of Lithuania where K. Donelaitis had lived and created his works; they have also visited a monument for a president of Lithuania K. Grinius as well as the homelands of V. Kudirka, J. Basanavicius, S. Neris. Puppet shows based on “Palangos Juzė” by M. Valancius, fables by K. Donelaitis, poetical fairy-tale “Egle the Queen of Serpents” (Lith. Eglė žalčių karalienė) by S. Neris were presented. Meetings with children’s authors Kestutis Kasparavicius, Neringa Vaitkute, Nomeda Marcenaite, Selemonas Paltanavicius were organised.
